Denver can initially come off as uncaring, even hostile if provoked. He's quite used to a solitary lifestyle, and isn't particularly keen on allowing himself to be disturbed or interrupted. He's more likely to leave another equine alone, and mind his own business rather than step in and interfere, even if he suspects something is awry. Not to say he isn't polite; should another equine approach him, he'll at least grant pleasantries. He does has a soft side, though, he saves it for those who he genuinely cares about. He doesn't like to let himself get too involved with others, for worry of having them be torn from his side - though deep down, he hopes to develop connections. He will be fiercely protective, and paired with his own natural strength and willpower, he is unwilling to allow someone to stand in the way of what he wants. He'll even stand to fight for others, if he feels strongly enough for them.

History
[attr="class","maintext"]
Born to a Mountain herd, Denver is the son of the old King and one of his mares. His upbringing was fairly normal, quiet and solitary for the most part, with his mother taking care to raise him with manners and morality. Denver lived there for most of his young life, though, unbeknownst to him it wouldn't last forever. Once the King's heir was born and Denver reached two years of age, the young stallion was chased off of the land. He tried to fight for his right to stay, but inexperience was trumped by the King's natural strength, and fortunately, Denver was able to escape relatively unscathed. Unwanted by any neighboring territories, the bachelor found himself squandering in the free lands, banding together with other young stallions who'd come to face a similar fate to his own. Eventually, he did see his mother again; after the King and Queen of the Mountains faced an untimely fate, the mare abandoned her mountain home in search of the son she'd lost so many years ago. He'd spend her remaining years caring for her, until death would come to claim her on a peaceful spring morning. Denver has been wandering the lands since - unsure of whether he'd like to settle down, or remain comfortable in the bachelor life he's grown into.
